Farm Food Fresh is ready-to-eat and completely fresh meat.
- It can be the basis for a healthy meal, or alternatively can be used to supplement your self-prepared dog's meal.
- You do not require a large freezer to offer your dog raw, fresh meat.
- Farm Food Fresh is produced in large chunks, which saves you a lot of time in preparing the meal and it does not need to be cut.
- Farm Food Fresh contains no thickening agents.
- Farm Food Fresh products are not processed into pre-formed slices, shapes or squares but are packaged in handy portion boxes.
- In order to produce slices, shapes and squares a thickening agent is added to prevent the meat from falling apart. This also requires the meat to be ground more finely.
- Farm Food is against the use of thickening agents and is therefore unable to produce slices, hamburgers, squares or any other shapes.
-
Farm Food Fresh can be combined or mixed with Farm Food HE.
- The complete variant offers a full meal and is not necessarily meant as a supplement to Farm Food HE. In combination it offers the perfect meal for your dog's fresh-meat requirements.
- The single variant is ideal for maintaining your dog's intestinal flora, and can be mixed with Farm Food HE.
- The Fresh and HE products can mixed because the Farm Food HE product is offered as pressed pellets. If you want to switch from expanded pellets to Fresh and HE, it is best to only give your dog Fresh for the first period; this is followed up by mixing it with Farm Food HE.
-
Farm Food Fresh contains no chicken or other poultry.
- Most chickens (and other poultry) that are used in the manufacturing of pet food are slaughtered when they reach the high point of their growth (chickens are typically slaughtered when they are 5 to 6 weeks old). This means the carcass contains a high amount of (natural) growth hormones that are produced in the chicken's hypophysis.
- Additionally, the cartilage contains a high amount of proline. Proline is not a real amino acid but a so-called imino acid that has a negative impact on real amino acids (antagonist).
- Many years of experience has shown that a combination of these factors has a negative effect on the dog's health. This is especially evident in young dogs whose growth and fertility seems to suffer. If adult chickens are used, which are slaughtered when they are no longer able to produce enough eggs, the negative effects will not or are much less likely to occur.
-
Farm Food Fresh contains no omasum.
- Omasum causes the food to ‘float' in the stomach. As a result the food is processed faster through the intestines, and the dog's stool is slightly grey in colour (depending on the amount of omasum in the food).
- Omasum is often given to help cleanse the intestines.
-
With the exception beef heart and liver, Farm Food Fresh contains no organic meat.
- Although all intestines can be referred to as organs, Farm Food Fresh products do not contain any organs such as lung, kidneys, pancreas, spleen, etc.
-
Farm Food Fresh Complete is 100% gluten-free.
- To stimulate the capacity to digest starch in pups, a small amount of rice is added.
-
Farm Food Fresh contains no bones.
- This guarantees a controlled intake of calcium/phosphorous in the Tripe and Heart complete, and Beef complete products.
- This means you can control the intake of calcium/phosphorous when offering your green tripe and Beef.
- When feeding your dog (ground) bones, it is unknown how much calcium and phosphorous is absorbed. When bones are mixed in the meat it is unknown if the dog's intake of calcium and phosphorous is insufficient, sufficient or too much. That is why we use phosphoric acid (a natural mineral) and monocalcium phosphate as a natural supplement to ensure the dog receives the right amount of calcium and phosphorous. If we use these two minerals we know exactly how much calcium and phosphorous the dog absorbs and requires.
- When using Farm Food Fresh tripe and/or meat as a basic ingredient for your dog's meal you know exactly how much calcium and phosphorous the meat contains.
- That is why Farm Food Fresh offers the perfect basic ingredients, or can be used as a supplement, in preparing your dog's meal.
- Nota bene: Wolves and wild dogs always chew on bones after the meal and never during.
